On 27 March 2023, Dr Auschala Chalayonnavin, Associate Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Social Administration at Thammasat University (TU), welcomed Dr Ben Ku, Associate Professor of APSS and Director of China and Global Development Network (CGDN), and Ms. Kan Yip, Assistant Director (Development and Partnership) of CGDN to TU.

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two institutions. Prof. Eric Chui, Head of the APSS at PolyU, was also present at the signing ceremony online. This partnership has strong potential for multiple approaches and strands related to joint research and roundtable discussions, joint seminars, student and staff exchange, as well as collaboration on community work building on the work of both universities in Thailand.
