The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has strengthened its academic presence in Southeast Asia through the establishment of new partnership with The University of Indonesia (UI).
On 27 August 2026, PolyU and UI signed a Letter of Intent (LoI). The LoI was signed by Prof. Eric CHUI, Head of the Department of Applied Social Sciences at PolyU, and Prof. Evi FITRIANI, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at UI.
Prof. Eric CHUI and Prof. Evi FITRIANI present the signed Letter of Intent (LoI) between PolyU and the University of Indonesia.
The LoI aims to advance academic excellence, foster international cooperation, promote educational development, strengthen research collaboration, and enhance intercultural understanding. The two universities will explore opportunities for cooperation in student mobility programmes, faculty, researcher and scholar exchanges, collaborative research activities, the organisation of seminars, conferences, workshops, guest lectures, and other academic events, as well as capacity-building initiatives.
The partnership marks an important step in deepening PolyU’s collaboration with Indonesia, fostering academic and research exchanges that support regional cooperation and excellence.
